if u are reading this u really must be bored. i find this gnutella to be a spooky place. spooky in the sense that there seems to be so many intellectual types here. but gotta be careful about that. the presence of intellect does not necessarily mean that there is a sign of intelligence. i wonder sometimes what carl wud think of this you know that sagan dude who supported the space program and look to the stars and listen and explore. now there was intelligence we were lucky that he was here for a while. so many before him and so many here now, and many more, hopefully, to come, that will lead us into the future and beyond. i better shutup before i start sounding like buzz lightyear.. i will be back. have been dabbling in irc. what a trip.. more to learn and more to be able to do on the ole puter.01/01/03 the space program has suffered another devastating tragedy. the columbia has just disentegrated above me. seven adventurous spirits have left us for the rest of our physical existence here on the planet earth. i feel a sense of loss for the whole nasa family, both professional and personal families. this is a sad day. there were decisions made about this at the engineering level i feel will weigh heavily later on in the process of making calls on what is safe and not safe. a rocket scientist intellect does not mean there is intelligence enough present to make a common sense determination. some ppl said it was safe after take off to do re-entry without a spacewalk outer hull inspection? no suits? no spare heat panels? not even for a minor repair? i at least check my spare tire and my fluid levels before a short trip.. these people were going into outerspace for crying out loud. it is a sad day. i will say more some other time.. i am not thinking clearly right now.
